Le petit A de O, a proposition by guest curator Marie de Brugerolle, gathers together 7 artists and twenty or so works of art around a painting A by Olivier Mosset. Mostly new, the pieces by Nicolas Chardon, Ivan Fayard, Camila Oliveira Fairclough, Amy Granat, Hugo Pernet, Emmanuel Van Der Meulen, summon non representational art, found abstraction, the monochomemaniac, impertinence and the margin, but above all the manifest will to paint and to see painting. It is also the tension of legibility and visibility, of the canvas and the screen that will be at play here. All of the artists exhibited have a connection with the A of O and with the work of Olivier Mosset. Directly or indirectly, their work resonates with his, with absolutely no intention of paying homage or any desire to set an example, and yet the pieces may find echoes in each other. It is from this little painting A, « lost » in the sense that, for years, its whereabouts were unknown and from its discovery by Olivier Houg, that the idea of a new meeting became a necessity. One between this lost/found A and work by artists that, in one way or another, have something in common with Olivier Mosset. (....)
